About the Role

Join Speechify's innovative AI team as a Software Engineer specializing in Data Infrastructure & Acquisition. This pivotal remote role empowers you to design, build, and maintain the foundational data systems that fuel our cutting-edge text-to-speech products, directly impacting millions of users globally.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient collection, processing, and storage of diverse datasets.
• Implement and optimize data acquisition strategies to support the training and improvement of AI/ML models.
• Ensure the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and accessibility across our platforms.
• Collaborate closely with AI researchers, product managers, and other engineering teams to translate data needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to the overall backend services architecture, with a focus on analytics and data-driven features.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong focus on data infrastructure, backend systems, or data engineering.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for data processing (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, Go).
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Kafka, Spark) and cloud data services (e.g., AWS S3, Redshift, GCP BigQuery).
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, distributed environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• This is a 100% remote position.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with MLOps practices or preparing data specifically for machine learning models.
• Familiarity with the unique data challenges in text-to-speech, NLP, or audio processing.
