About the Role

Join Affirm's Upfunnel team to build engaging pre-checkout experiences that clearly communicate Affirm's value to shoppers, contributing to reliable, accessible, and performant frontend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance high-traffic frontend experiences across Affirm.js, promotional messaging, experimentation, and developer-facing tooling.
• Collaborate proactively with team members and stakeholders, ensuring visibility into work, risks, and trade-offs.
• Balance speed and quality to achieve business goals while maintaining system reliability.
• Utilize browser debugging, monitoring, metrics, and testing tools for cross-browser compatibility and operational issue resolution.
• Contribute to team community through growth and development activities.

Requirements

• Previous work or internship experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Previous work or internship experience with Javascript/Typescript.
• Demonstrated ability to translate simple problems into robust solutions interacting with multiple software components, writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code.
• Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging others' code, and providing constructive feedback through code reviews.
• Proven ownership of personal growth, actively seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
