Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
• Ship features that improve the speed and ease with which shoppers find merchants and financing.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to scope work and make technical decisions.
• Write clean, well-tested, and extensible code.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
• Support the operations and availability of team's systems, including monitoring and on-call efforts.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
• Proven ability to translate simple problems into robust solutions interacting with multiple software components.
• Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing feedback through code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with performance optimization in marketplace or discovery systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
