Software Engineer II, Frontend

About the Role

Affirm is revolutionizing credit to be more honest and user-friendly, enabling consumers to buy now and pay later without hidden fees. As a Frontend Software Engineer II on the Checkout Experience International team, you will build and maintain delightful UI and API experiences central to Affirm's global checkout process. This remote role in Poland involves close collaboration with international teams to drive feature development and ensure users can pay flexibly while maintaining financial health.

Responsibilities

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery.
• Support the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, and risk/trade-off decisions.
• Support the operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and contributing to "keep the lights on" and on-call efforts.
• Contribute to team community by engaging in growth and development activities, including participation in the interview process.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development.
• Experience maintaining UIs and APIs that power user experiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
