Software Engineer II (ML Feature Platform)

About the Role

Join our ML Feature Platform team to build a delightful, self-serve platform for developing and serving data for machine learning and decisioning, directly impacting Affirm's business growth.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end flows for feature creation, exploration, and serving.
• Manage data storage, availability, and visibility for machine learning.
• Develop and improve offline backfilling infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams.
• Support the operations and availability of platform artifacts, including on-call efforts.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to take a problem from conception to a multi-component solution.
• Strong debugging skills and experience with code reviews.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-Haves

• Passion for ML enablement and platform improvements.
• Experience with ML feature stores or data platforms.
