About the Role

Join CoinGecko as a Software Engineer, Web to design and develop frontend features for our decentralized exchange tracker, GeckoTerminal, impacting millions of users globally.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop frontend features for GeckoTerminal, processing on-chain trading data and DeFi metrics.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code and libraries.
• Support code reviews and propose improvements to team practices.
• Develop documentation for project delivery and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in testing, debugging, and resolving defects.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging web development trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, product managers, and designers to ship products and features.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing usable, fully-featured web applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire and passion to learn about the blockchain/cryptocurrency industry.
• Understanding of blockchain concepts (on-chain data, token standards, DeFi protocols).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
• Familiarity with back-end technologies such as databases, APIs, and server-side frameworks (e.g., Ruby on Rails).
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Passionate about problem-solving and user empathy.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience with Ruby, Rails, Javascript, Postgres, and cloud services.
