Software Engineering Manager

About the Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow a high-performing team responsible for building and scaling SELECT, our cloud cost management platform. You will play a pivotal role in shaping technical strategy, mentoring engineers, and driving product execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development.
• Partner with engineers to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems using Python, FastAPI, and modern data platforms.
• Drive engineering excellence by establishing strong development practices, code quality standards, and operational maturity.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to align technical execution with business priorities and customer needs.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning within the engineering organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including building and operating production systems.
• 2+ years of engineering leadership or management experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in backend engineering, data modeling, and data-intensive systems.
• Proficiency with modern technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Postgres, dbt, or Snowflake.
• Demonstrated ability to lead architectural discussions and influence technical direction.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building SaaS products in high-growth or startup environments.
• Familiarity with FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience leading distributed remote engineering teams.
• Proven track record of scaling teams and processes during periods of rapid growth.
