Solutions Engineer, Acquisition

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Solutions Engineer, Acquisition, working remotely across the United States. You will be instrumental in guiding prospective customers through the technical capabilities of Grafana Labs' observability solutions, combining your expertise with a passion for helping businesses solve complex monitoring challenges and drive new customer growth.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to understand customer needs and present tailored technical solutions.
• Conduct compelling product demonstrations and technical deep-dives for potential clients.
• Design and implement proof-of-concept (POC) environments to showcase the value of Grafana Cloud and the LGTM Stack.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, addressing customer questions and concerns throughout the sales cycle.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on market and customer insights.
• Stay up-to-date with Grafana Labs' product offerings and the broader observability landscape.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
• Strong understanding of observability concepts, including metrics, logs, and traces.
• Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, or similar open-source monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and POC development.
• Familiarity with competitive observability solutions.
• Prior experience working in a remote-first, open-source environment.
• Experience with large-scale data systems or distributed systems.
