Sr. Treasury Analyst

About the Role

As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will play a pivotal and high-visibility role at the heart of our finance organization, ensuring Kraken's financial agility and contributing to key strategic initiatives. You will leverage a data-driven mindset to collaborate closely with product and business development teams, facilitating the minting and flow of funds.

Responsibilities

• Manage liquidity positions across fiat and digital wallets using treasury management systems (e.g., Kyriba), wallet management systems, internal payment gateways, and banking partners to ensure adequate settlement coverage.
• Facilitate the minting and burning of tokenized equity instruments, ensuring accurate reflection of underlying shareholder registers.
• Oversee capital inflows and outflows related to equity token subscriptions, redemptions, and secondary transfers.
• Automate reconciliation processes, real-time fund reporting, and liquidity tracking.
• Manage treasury operations tools across multiple global banking partners, including cash pooling, legal entity cash concentration, and various payment portals.
• Continuously improve processes to ensure data verification, quality, and accuracy through a collaborative approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, Financial Services, or Treasury roles.
• Demonstrable knowledge and passion for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, with a security-first mindset.
• Experience in a high-volume, deadline-oriented transactional environment.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to build financial models and work with diverse data types.
• Proven ability to forecast and anticipate cash flows globally and across different currencies.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and reconcile complex issues.
• Strong comprehension of the balance sheet and the effects of transactions on firm assets and liabilities.
• Advanced proficiency with Google Suite products, including Google Sheets.
• Technical skills and experience in data management using Excel and SQL.
• Treasury Management System experience (e.g., Kyriba) strongly preferred.
• Ability to work weekends 1-3 times per month.

Nice-to-Haves

• Firm, testable understanding of global and local fiat/crypto payment networks such as SWIFT, SEPA, Bitcoin, and Ethereum.
• Technical skills in Python, R, or SAP.
• Experience with system automation.
