SRE / DevOps Engineer

About the Role

As an SRE / DevOps Engineer at Kraken, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that powers the future of crypto. Join our fully remote, global team to ensure the reliability and performance of our world-class trading platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure for critical crypto services.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks using modern DevOps practices.
• Ensure the security and compliance of our systems, adhering to industry best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems and respond to incidents.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or similar role, preferably in a high-transactional or fintech environment.
• Strong expertise with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system reliability.

You'll be joining Kraken's Developer-Experience (DX) team, contributing to an environment where developers can efficiently build and ship innovative crypto products. This is a full-time, remote position, welcoming candidates from the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Canada, and Brazil.
