SRE / DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Join Kraken's Developer-Experience (DX) team as an SRE/DevOps Engineer to build and maintain the robust, scalable infrastructure that powers the future of crypto, ensuring high reliability and performance for our global user base.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure for our crypto platforms.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate SRE best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure system security, performance, and availability through proactive monitoring, incident response, and post-mortem analysis.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems and resolve production issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on system reliability and automation.
• Strong background in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for automation and tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
• Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system improvements.
