Staff Brand Designer

About the Role

Join LiveKit, a rapidly growing infrastructure company powering multimodal AI interfaces, as a Staff Brand Designer to shape and evolve our brand identity from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity to define how our brand looks, feels, and functions across all touchpoints, from code to pixel.

Responsibilities

• Evolve LiveKit’s brand identity, encompassing visual language, voice/tone, motion, and sound.
• Define and maintain scalable brand systems including colors, grids, typography, and components.
• Design impactful brand moments across diverse channels such as launch pages, videos, events, social media, and merchandise.
• Collaborate on developer-facing artifacts like hackathons, online courses, documentation, diagrams, and sample applications.
• Work hands-on in Figma, with opportunities to contribute through motion, video, or prototyping tools based on your strengths.
• Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, and design teams to ensure consistent brand presence.
• Codify guidelines and continuously evolve our brand system over time.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in brand design, ideally within developer tools or SaaS environments.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating both systems thinking and expressive creative range.
• Expert-level understanding of typography, layout, color, motion, and visual hierarchy.
• Proven experience designing across web, social, print, video, and/or 3D mediums.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and guide projects from concept to execution.
• Genuine curiosity about technical products and developer audiences.
• Experience managing projects or leading design initiatives.

Nice-to-Haves

• Exposure to brand architecture work, including multi-product or multi-audience branding.
• Proficiency with motion design tools such as After Effects, Rive, Lottie, or other prototyping software.
• Interest in sound design, animation, or experimental creative formats.
