Staff Cloud Architect (Delivery)

About the Role

Lead a team of Cloud Architects in delivering cutting-edge cloud solutions for LATAM customers, driving innovation and optimizing cloud environments on AWS and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and manage a team of Cloud Architects/FDEs focused on customer cloud workload design, deployment, and optimization.
• Serve as the primary technical delivery partner, ensuring focus on CloudOps/FinOps, reliability, security, and performance.
• Act as an escalation point for complex cloud topics and ensure high-quality resolutions.
• Drive structured engagements like cost optimization workshops, architecture deep dives, and security reviews.
• Shift the team's model to proactive engagement and embed FDEs into account teams.
• Coach the team to become experts in DCI tools and drive their adoption into customer workflows.
• Foster a builder culture, turning one-off solutions into reusable patterns and providing feedback to Product and Engineering.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and career development guidance to team members.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience architecting, developing, and troubleshooting internet-scale, production-grade distributed systems.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud.
• Proven people leadership experience.
• Experience with container technologies, e.g. Kubernetes.
• Experience with networking, e.g. TCP/IP, routing, network topologies, and VPN.
• Experience with Linux operating systems administration and internals.
• Great verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills in English.

Nice-to-Haves

• AWS Certified Professional Solution Architect.
• Experience in software development in one or more languages such as Java, Python, PHP, Go, or Rust; as well as shell scripting.
