Staff Data Scientist - Product

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and impact-driven Staff Data Scientist to shape our product strategy and drive innovation through data-driven insights. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our existing product suite while supporting early-stage initiatives to help our users achieve their revenue goals.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into actionable data analysis to optimize product performance and user experience.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to identify critical product questions and provide data-driven solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable analytics infrastructure to support informed decision-making.
• Conduct exploratory analysis, including cohorting, time series analysis, and funnel optimization.
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across product teams.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, A/B testing, statistical analysis, and machine learning using tools like Python or R.
• Deep experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Heap, Mixpanel) to track end-to-end user journeys.
• Proven ability to influence product strategy and recalibrate activation metrics in a SaaS or Product-Led Growth environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Degree in Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience supporting 0 to 1 product launches and early-stage product initiatives.
• Proficiency with data visualization and BI platforms like Looker.
