Staff Developer, Authentication Enablement Technology

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of core authentication services and features.
• Drive technical strategy and best practices for identity and access management.
• Collaborate with product and security teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of authentication systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on authentication, security, or identity management.
• Deep expertise in authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and FIDO.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, Rust, Java, C#, Python, Node.js).
• Proven track record of leading complex technical projects and delivering high-quality, secure software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with cloud security services (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure AD, GCP Identity Platform).
• Familiarity with cryptography and secure coding practices.
• Contributions to open-source projects related to security or authentication.
• Experience working in a remote-first environment.
