Staff Front-End Engineer - Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain a universal React component library that functions across both web and React Native environments.
• Abstract cross-platform complexities to provide a streamlined, portable-first experience for product engineering teams.
• Set technical standards for component development, distribution, and consumption for over 800 engineers.
• Mentor team members through code reviews, design decisions, and technical guidance to foster a culture of engineering excellence.
• Drive the integration of AI-assisted workflows to enhance developer productivity and design system scalability.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing or leading large-scale design systems.
• Deep expertise in fundamental web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Hands-on experience with cross-platform development using React Native.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional technical projects at scale.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive technical adoption across teams.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in technical advocacy and driving significant organizational change.
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Exposure to native or hybrid mobile development environments.
