Staff Product Manager, Platform

About the Role

Join Docker as a Staff Product Manager to define and drive the strategy for our core platform products, directly impacting how developers build, share, and run applications globally.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for critical platform components, focusing on developer experience and infrastructure reliability.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering through launch and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
• Conduct market analysis, competitive research, and user interviews to identify unmet needs and opportunities for platform enhancement.
• Establish clear success metrics (KPIs) and continuously monitor product performance, iterating based on data and user feedback.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, with at least 3 years focused specifically on platform, infrastructure, or developer tools.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling complex technical products used by developers or technical users.
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive product decisions.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience managing products related to CI/CD pipelines or developer workflows.
• Background in software engineering or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with the open-source community dynamics.
