Staff Security Engineer - Detection & Response

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Staff Security Engineer, playing a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and strategic direction of our Detection and Response capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver against a strategic architecture and roadmap for the Detection and Response Team.
• Identify and deliver improved security response tooling and capabilities across areas such as Case Management, Automation, SOAR, SIEM, Detection, Forensics, and Malware Analysis.
• Lead the adoption and integration of GenAI Workflows to enhance the efficiency and scalability of Detection and Response operations.
• Act as a technical leader, collaborating across security teams to achieve joint goals.
• Mentor and support the growth of colleagues in areas of expertise.

Requirements

• Proven experience in owning and delivering long-term strategic roadmaps for Security Detection and Response tooling and capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in developing scalable security automation, case management, detection, and response tooling, capabilities, and workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate engineering decisions, including "Build vs Buy" scenarios and vendor management.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Golang, Python, or Java.
• Strong project management skills with a history of leading projects from start to finish.
• Excellent communication abilities, skilled in interacting with diverse groups and distilling complex technical concepts.
• Experience with Security Incident Response and Threat Modelling.
