About the Role
Join Paddle as a Strategic Account Executive and directly impact our ambitious growth by converting qualified leads into long-term customers. This is an exciting opportunity to own and grow a strategic book of business, drive new revenue, and help define the future of SaaS e-commerce solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own and expand a book of strategic prospects, developing and executing long-term deal strategies and commercial negotiations.
- Drive new business by effectively prioritizing target accounts, leveraging Business Development Representative support and Marketing resources to build a robust pipeline.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including discovery, value positioning, objection handling, and champion building, influencing stakeholders to progress deals.
- Employ a consultative sales approach to demonstrate Paddle’s immediate impact and align solutions with customer long-term goals.
- Become a product expert with an in-depth understanding of Paddle's features and the broader industry, effectively articulating our value to CTOs, Heads of Product, and CEOs.
- Lead discovery efforts to understand unique client needs and collaborate with internal Product, Customer Success, and Partnerships teams to develop integrated sales strategies for long-term success.
Requirements
- Extensive closing experience in a software or SaaS business, managing multi-threaded sales processes and enterprise deals.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas through consultative, value-based selling.
- Experience selling highly technical products or services.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills with prospective clients across various channels (in-person, phone, email).
- An entrepreneurial mindset that thrives on solving complex challenges within a fast-growing company.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in the payments space or selling B2B SaaS solutions.
- Prior experience at a growth-stage Internet or software company.
- Experience selling to technical decision-makers (e.g., CTOs, Heads of Product, Technical Founders).
- Familiarity with e-commerce providers (e.g., Stripe, Braintree, PayPal) and subscription management services (e.g., Chargebee, Zuora).
- Ability to operate effectively in an unstructured, self-starting environment.
