Support Engineer

About the Role

Join Supabase, the Postgres development platform, as a Support Engineer to provide world-class developer support for our deeply integrated backend solution. This is an exciting opportunity to help developers worldwide leverage our Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search services.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and timely responses to all support cases, covering topics from billing and pre-sales to optimization and implementation questions.
• Triage support cases by directing users to existing resources, code examples, documentation, or escalating to relevant technical or business teams.
• Monitor multiple feedback channels, including GitHub Issues & Discussions.
• Identify opportunities for internal tooling development or acquisition to enhance support efficiency.
• Reproduce issues, create test cases, and improve test coverage.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience providing developer support to technical customers.
• Proficiency in SQL, ideally PostgreSQL, with comfort in complex SQL queries.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with database administration.
• Experience with testing, including creating test cases and improving test coverage.

About the Team

You will be part of a globally distributed support team focused on minimizing time to fix, working closely with product engineering and growth teams. This role specifically covers EMEA time zones and includes weekend shifts, operating remotely.
