Support Engineer

About the Role

Join our globally distributed team as a Support Engineer to provide world-class developer support for the Supabase Postgres development platform, helping users navigate and optimize their experience with our integrated backend solutions. This is a remote, full-time role with a focus on APAC weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and timely responses to a variety of support cases, from billing and pre-sales to optimization and implementation questions.
• Triage support cases by directing users to documentation, code examples, or escalating to relevant technical and business teams.
• Monitor multiple feedback channels, including GitHub Issues and Discussions.
• Identify opportunities for internal tooling development to improve support efficiency.
• Reproduce issues and contribute to creating test cases to improve test coverage.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience providing developer support to technical customers.
• Proficient in SQL, ideally PostgreSQL, with comfort in complex SQL queries.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with database administration.
• Experience with testing, reproducing issues, and creating test cases.

The support team is globally distributed with a strong focus on minimizing time to fix, and works closely with the product engineering and growth teams to enhance the overall user experience.
