Support Engineer

About the Role

Join Supabase, the Postgres development platform, as a Support Engineer to provide world-class developer support. This remote, full-time role in the Americas region offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact developer experience by minimizing time to fix issues and guiding users, while collaborating closely with product engineering and growth teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and timely responses to a wide range of support cases, from billing and pre-sales to optimization and implementation questions.
• Triage support cases by directing users to existing resources (answers, code examples, documentation) or escalating to relevant technical and business teams.
• Monitor various feedback channels, including GitHub Issues & Discussions, to stay on top of user needs.
• Identify opportunities to develop or acquire internal tooling that enhances support efficiency.
• Reproduce issues, create test cases, and improve test coverage, especially if you have prior testing experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in customer support, specifically providing developer support to technical customers.
• Proficiency in SQL, ideally PostgreSQL, with comfort in writing and understanding complex SQL queries.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in database administration.
