Support Engineer (Weekends)

About the Role

Join our globally distributed team as a Support Engineer to provide world-class developer support for users of the Supabase Postgres development platform. This full-time, remote role is crucial for minimizing time to fix issues and guiding developers, specifically covering weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and timely responses to all support cases, covering topics from billing and pre-sales to optimization and implementation questions.
• Triage support cases by directing users to existing answers, code examples, or documentation, and escalating to specific technical or business teams when necessary.
• Monitor multiple feedback channels, including GitHub Issues & Discussions, to stay informed and responsive.
• Identify opportunities for internal tooling development or acquisition to improve support efficiency.
• Reproduce issues, create test cases, and contribute to improving test coverage, especially if you have experience with testing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in customer support, specifically providing developer support to technical customers.
• Proficiency in SQL (ideally PostgreSQL) and comfortable with complex SQL queries.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Ability to work weekend shifts as a core part of the role.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with database administration.
• Proven experience in creating test cases and improving test coverage.
