Support Engineer

About the Role

Join our globally distributed team as a Support Engineer to provide world-class developer support for the Supabase Postgres development platform. You will be crucial in helping users navigate and optimize their experience with our deeply integrated backend solutions, ensuring their success and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and timely responses to a wide variety of support cases, from billing and pre-sales to optimization and implementation questions.
• Triage support requests, directing users to relevant documentation, code examples, or escalating to specialized technical and business teams.
• Monitor and engage with user feedback across multiple channels, including GitHub Issues and Discussions.
• Identify opportunities and contribute to the development or acquisition of internal tooling to enhance support efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in customer support, specifically providing developer support to technical customers.
• Proficiency in SQL, ideally PostgreSQL, with comfort in writing and understanding complex queries.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with database administration.
• Ability to reproduce issues, create test cases, and improve test coverage.
