Support Engineering Manager

About the Role

Join Supabase, the Postgres development platform, as a Support Engineering Manager for the Americas region. Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technical support team.
• Drive operational excellence and scale support processes to meet rapid company growth.
• Contribute to the strategic development and expansion of the global support organization.
• Ensure high-quality technical assistance for Supabase's backend solutions, including Database, Auth, Storage, and Edge Functions.

Requirements

• Some experience leading or mentoring a technical team (support, engineering, or similar); formal management experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills from a background in systems administration, database management, DevOps, or a related field.
• Familiarity with SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, and a willingness to deepen expertise.
• Comfortable using Linux/Unix operating systems and the command line for basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with GitHub Issues and Discussions.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, or Svelte, and some experience with Node.js.
