Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Node.js/Typescript engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable features for Deel's global HR and payroll platform.
• Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to define and execute the technical roadmap.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic technical decisions for the platform.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Team Lead or in a similar leadership role.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and Typescript, with a strong understanding of backend development best practices.
• Experience building and scaling complex, high-performance SaaS applications.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, foster team growth, and drive technical projects to completion.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a globally distributed, remote team.
