Team Lead, Payroll Operations

About the Role

Lead a critical team focused on France Payroll Operations at Deel, a pioneer in global HR and payroll. This role offers the exciting opportunity to ensure seamless and compliant payroll processing, directly impacting thousands of workers and businesses across France.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll processing for clients operating in France, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payroll specialists, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
• Ensure strict compliance with French labor laws, social security regulations, and tax requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.
• Act as a subject matter expert for French payroll, providing guidance and resolving complex payroll queries.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including HR, Legal, and Product, to support client needs and platform enhancements.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) in French payroll management, including in-depth knowledge of local regulations and practices.
• Demonstrated experience in a team leadership or supervisory role within a payroll or HR operations department.
• Strong understanding of French social contributions, tax declarations, and labor law.
• Proficiency with payroll software and systems; experience with global payroll platforms is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Fluent in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Project management experience, particularly in process optimization or system implementation.
