Technical Support Engineer - EMEA

About the Role

Join Camunda's growing team as a Technical Support Engineer dedicated to serving our EMEA customer base. This is an exciting opportunity to be the frontline expert, resolving complex technical challenges for users of our industry-leading process automation platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support via email, chat, and phone to customers across the EMEA region regarding Camunda Platform and related technologies.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to Camunda BPMN, DMN, workflow engines, and integrations.
• Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to internal training materials to improve overall support efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to report bugs, suggest product improvements, and escalate critical issues effectively.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure timely resolution of support tickets while maintaining high customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.

Requirements

• Proven experience (2+ years) in a technical support, application support, or similar customer-facing technical role, preferably supporting enterprise software.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Java, JVM-based applications, and general application server environments (e.g., Tomcat).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting database issues, particularly with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, suitable for interacting with technical and non-technical audiences across EMEA.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools for diagnostics.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with workflow engines, BPMN, or DMN standards.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Prior experience supporting open-source software products.
• Working knowledge of a second European language relevant to the EMEA region.
