About the Role

We are seeking a talented Telugu Video Localization Expert to adapt our science educational videos for a Telugu-speaking audience, playing a crucial role in making quality science education accessible to millions.

Responsibilities

• Localize English science videos into Telugu, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Review and edit existing Telugu science content, and create new localized content as needed.
• Interact with state teachers to gather feedback and incorporate it into content improvements.
• Research and utilize specialized dictionaries and reference materials to ensure correct terminology.
• Proofread and edit final Telugu versions for meaning, readability, and consistency.
• Develop and maintain a glossary of specific terminologies for Khan Academy's localization process.

Requirements

• Native Telugu speaker with fluency in speaking and writing Telugu.
• Strong understanding of science concepts up to Class XII level.
• Experience in video localization or video creation.
• Proficiency in understanding English to accurately recreate video content.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience studying or teaching in a Telugu medium school.
• Experience in online teaching or video editing software.
• Tech-savviness and curiosity.
