Treasury Operations Analyst

About the Role

Join Kraken's finance team as a Treasury Operations Analyst, playing a crucial role in managing our global liquidity and ensuring the smooth flow of funds across our diverse operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial backbone of a leading cryptocurrency exchange.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash and crypto positions, ensuring optimal liquidity across various currencies and digital assets.
• Execute fiat and cryptocurrency payments, transfers, and settlements accurately and efficiently.
• Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, crypto wallets, and other financial ledgers.
• Monitor and report on cash flows, foreign exchange exposures, and investment portfolios.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., accounting, trading, compliance) to support treasury initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to internal treasury policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, payment systems, and banking operations.
• Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the cryptocurrency industry or with digital asset management.
• Familiarity with treasury management systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations (e.g., AML, KYC).
• CFA or CTP certification a plus.
