US Payroll Specialist

About the Role

Join our dynamic finance team as a US Payroll Specialist, where you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our US employees in a fully remote environment. Responsibilities

• Process multi-state US payroll accurately and on schedule for a growing employee base.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Manage and administer payroll deductions, benefits, and garnishments with precision.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and generate various payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions, providing clear and helpful resolutions.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless data flow and process improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience as a US Payroll Specialist or in a similar dedicated payroll role.
• In-depth knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations across multiple states.
• Proficiency with major payroll software platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG, or similar HRIS/payroll systems).
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service oriented approach.

Nice-to-Haves

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
• Experience with global payroll processing or supporting international entities.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and general ledger reconciliation.
• Experience in a high-growth or technology company setting.
