Join Goodnotes as a UX Researcher to help us reimagine how users interact with information, merging human creativity with AI to transform digital note-taking into an inspiring and innovative experience.
About the Team
The Foundation team is responsible for the essential experiences that make Goodnotes great, from toolbars and navigation to cross-platform consistency and performance. You will join a highly collaborative group of designers and product thinkers working asynchronously across Asia and Europe. We embrace a remote-first culture, allowing you to work from anywhere with at least four hours of overlap with your closest collaborators, or from our Hong Kong or London offices. Our async-first approach ensures your time zone will not impact your ability to do great work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research using various methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing) to uncover user needs and behaviors.
- Analyze research data to identify key insights, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate research findings into the product development lifecycle.
- Communicate research findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders through presentations and reports.
- Contribute to the overall product strategy by advocating for user-centered design principles.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX Researcher, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your research process and impact.
- Expertise in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous, and highly collaborative environment.
- Willingness to work on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for renewal or conversion.
- Flexibility to work within London/Europe or Hong Kong/Asia time zones.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with AI-powered tools or applications, especially in productivity, creativity, or learning domains.
- Familiarity with digital note-taking applications or educational technology.
- Experience working with global, distributed teams.
