Responsibilities

• Lead and influence technology strategy across multiple products, teams, and geographies.
• Drive and promote reliability engineering strategy and best practices.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure the development of scalable and reliable systems.
• Maintain a hands-on approach to technology, staying close to implementation details.
• Incorporate corporate strategy, customer needs, industry trends, and technology to ensure a future-focused approach.
• Collaborate actively across engineering, product, and corporate strategy teams to achieve successful customer outcomes and operational excellence.
• Act as a coach and mentor for Staff+ engineers, fostering their growth and development.
• Cultivate a culture of creativity, learning, and collective success, translating into a technology and architecture roadmap that delivers on business outcomes.
• Apply a pragmatic approach to technology-driven decisions and investments.
• Quickly participate in teams at both architecture design and implementation phases.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role with distributed systems operating in cloud environments.
• Strong leadership skills, proven by leading through influence across functional and organizational boundaries.
• Experience in driving architecture throughout a product portfolio across a diverse technology organization.
• Expertise in establishing, driving, and standardizing reliability engineering practices.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both business and technical audiences.
• Proven track record of innovative, creative, and results-driven outcomes.
• Extensive experience with architecting and developing large-scale distributed systems and creating enterprise-level technology roadmaps.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience working with team members across various geographies.
• Experience in evaluating talent and products in mergers and acquisitions.
